Congratulations Sister! – Odyssey of the Mind

Sis came back last night from her competition in the USA.

Her team won 8th in their division! She explained to me that they could have done way better and got top 6, beating ACJC (Anglo Chinese Junior College). Bother. She said that they were better than them, but due to the judges refusing to judge her costume, instead picking a lousier costume and they interpreting a question differently from the rest of the teams (I call it reading too much into the question), they were penalised. BAH. I have no grudges against ACJC ok! Plenty of my friends (good ones too) come from there. But it would have been cool to tell them that my Sis trashed their alma mater.

Anyway the main thing is, they had fun and it was a GREAT learning experience. The time and effort everyone put in was…amazing. I would never have bothered.

She’s off to school already (despite it being the school holidays) for a meeting with the other school House captains and vice-captains. Explanation: the school is divided into houses. Each house is headed by one house captain and two or three (I think) vice-captain. Sis is a vice-captain. Nuts la. The amount of time she spends replying emails and coordinating school events.

To sum it up, I’M REALLY PROUD OF MY LITTLE SISTER! =D
